ABOUT THE ZAMBIAN VIRTUAL CONCERT

Influenced by the outbreak of the COVID-19 global pandemic, OZA (Organization of Zambians Abroad) in collaboration with DC Productions Media Group and many Community partner Organizations, the ZAMBIAN VIRTUAL CONCERT 2020 has been conceptualized to be the first ever Live Online Virtual benefit concert for charity. The goal of this musical concert is to raise funds to purchase the much-needed medical protective equipment to facilitate the fight against CoronaVirus pandemic in Zambia. This inaugural fundraising venture will feature Artists from Zambia, Europe and The United States. Talent will include, Artists, Athletes, Musicians, Comedians, Models, Educators, Scientists, Doctors, Elected Officials and Community Leaders. The concert will be broadcasted Live on Social Media Platform including FaceBook, YouTube and our Official Website at www.zambianvirtualconcert.com .The Live Broadcast will air on Saturday May 16th 2020 beginning at 21hrs(Zambian Time), 8PM British Time, 3PM EST and 12PM PST in The United States. We hope you join us as we preserve and build the future of Mother Zambia.

ABOUT ZAMBIA

Zambia, in southern Africa, is a landlocked country of rugged terrain and diverse wildlife, with many parks and safari areas. On its border with Zimbabwe is famed Victoria Falls – indigenously called Mosi-oa-Tunya, or "Smoke That Thunders” – plunging a misty 108m into narrow Batoka Gorge. Spanning the Zambezi River just below the falls is Victoria Falls Bridge, a spectacular viewpoint.

Formerly called Northern Rhodesia as an integral part of Cecil Rhodes’ Cape to Cairo vision, Zambia is in fact steeped in history dating all the way back to the African Stone Age. However, in many ways the famous Scottish missionary David Livingstone put the country on the European map as he came to the shores of Lake Tanganyika in search of the source of the Nile in the early 19th century.

Disc jockey commonly abbreviated as DJs, are people who hosts recorded music for an audience. Featured DJs will include radio DJs, club DJs, with experience of air play of music festivals and the ability to entertain diverse crowds listening live from Africa, Europe and The U.S

Musicians will include folks who play musical instrument or musically talented. Anyone who composes, conducts, or performs music will be considered on first come basis till all slots are full. We believe in the community and certainly have many talented Zambians.
